Healing from trauma is not the end of the story.

It’s just the beginning.

You are brilliant — growing your work as a creative, coach, or healer. I know you are absolutely passionate about your work, and that it is deeply needed in the world. The healing work you’ve done has lit you on fire to create the causes and conditions for change in the world, however, you are surprised to find that you are struggling. You are finding that the lingering effects of trauma and your very sensitive body psyche are "interfering" with the manifestation of your vision for your work, your life and the world.

Our hardest moments define us in so many ways. You’ve grown stronger and wiser as a result of what you’ve experienced. And, as you turn your attention to the legacy you want to create through your work, you may find that, despite the incredible work you’ve done, that the same old patterns keep you from moving forward. You may be wondering why the heck this pattern won’t let up. You may wonder if something is wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you, sister — it’s residual trauma and the attendant sensitive nervous system.

Some of the signs that Trauma-Sensitive Business might be for you are:

  • You’ve spent the money on the fancy website and the business coaching programs only to find you aren’t taking action — you feel paralyzed, or, you are constantly busy with other things, despite your desire to build a business and do the work you are here to do.

  • Despite your best intentions, you disregard your basic needs and feel physically, mentally and spiritually depleted. This often goes hand in hand with low-level (or constant) anxiety that is fueled by dismissive and destructive self-talk and actions.

  • Your business is successful, but you don’t feel successful. What you feel is burnt-out and unable to experience and appreciate the successes you’ve had. You continue to scan the horizon for danger and the next thing that might help you feel like you’ve finally “made it”.

  • You may experience strong fear of judgement or retribution that keeps you in a state of hiding: unable to share your voice through marketing and putting your work out into the world.

  • You may experience repetitive, fearful thoughts that just won’t stop, which fuels a deep sense of being unworthy that stops you in your tracks.

Here is what I know is true based on my experience working at the intersection of coaching, healing practices and the emerging field of neuroscience and trauma resilience: The after-effects of trauma may never go away but you can experience a new-found strength, I promise. You can develop your capacity to feel secure and grounded. You can grow your resilience and continue to heal. You can connect more deeply with yourself and with others. You can grow your sense of being enough, just as you are. You can learn to be trauma-sensitive in how you approach yourself and in doing so, move beyond letting trauma derail your desires.

Let’s walk you into a future built on a foundation of strength.

The Clarity and Support You Want

This is the program I wish I had access to when I started 14 years ago

I’m your guide, Nona Jordan

Nona Jordan TSB About.png

As a yoga teacher, breath facilitator, energy work practitioner as well as a master coach with a corporate background in accounting, The Trauma-Sensitive Business weaves together education, encouragement and guidance on creating trauma-sensitive practices, facing and feeling emotions that arise at the edges, and calling on the wider self (divine nature) for support and healing to move with, and beyond, the trauma that we carry as we walk through the world.

I have dedicated my life to healing and moving beyond the traumatic experiences that have impacted my life and my body psyche: I began my own healing 25 years ago, in a hit or miss manner, following my natural instinct, unwilling to accept that a sense of brokenness was somehow my fate. This was long before we has diagnoses like post-traumatic stress disorder, let alone an awareness of post-traumatic growth. One of the biggest opportunities to heal has been growing my business — it has asked me over and over again to go deeper with my own healing.

I’m not a therapist or a psychologist, but I have committed thousands of hours to learning and exploring ways to heal and move beyond trauma - both my own and that of my clients. I have had to do this because I am committed to my own healing and my own business success.

What I know for sure is that the aspects of ourselves that we typically reject as weaknesses are incredible strengths once we welcome them home.

The Trauma-Sensitive Business Gateways

Over five months, you will deepen the way you nourish yourself and grow your capacity to build a life and a business as a woman who has been impacted by trauma. We will move through three distinctive gateways, with ample time for integration as well as individual sessions to nurture your healing in ways that honor the trauma that you carry in your body psyche to allow you to move beyond the trauma to shine in your work.

Earth of the Body TSB.png

Gateway One: Coming home to the earth of your body

This gateway is a commitment to being on your own side and creating devotion for your physical, emotional and energetic bodies. This gateway invites you to deeply understand, and to honor, your trauma and sensitivity as essential parts of who you are that add to your life, even as it requires tenderness and care in a way that is not appreciated in society. By focusing here first, on balancing and stabilizing your body psyche, you will create the causes and conditions for growing your best work -- the nourishing topsoil in which to grow in ways that then also nourish you (and your work!)

Gateway Two: Unleashing Your Voice

Using Your Voice TSB.png

This gateway invites you to a deeper understanding of what stands between you, and your creative expression, so you can begin to speak true and create honest connection with yourself and others. This is where we access the healing power of strong emotions as we dive into understanding the ways that our voice and creativity have been shut down via trauma. This is edgy work for those who have experienced trauma and requires renewed commitment to caring for the earth of your body, staying present to your edges, and having support structures/people in place for the inevitable tenderness that arises when you go deeper in healing your voice and saying what needs to be said. This ultimately supports you in reaching out with Truth to clients and your community - being mindful to take risks but not get into overwhelm as you gently moving forward.

Working with others TSB.png

Gateway Three: Serving others and honoring yourSelf

In the final gateway, we integrate — anchoring into the truth of what it looks and feels like to be trauma-sensitive with yourself as a woman in business. You will craft rituals to contain your client work and also to clear energy and close your sessions with intention. We will flesh out the practices that best support you in remaining resilient as you work with others and affirm the importance of returning and strengthening gateway one to grow your work sustainably. You will need to give yourself more than most people in order to keep the topsoil rich and nourished — this is the affirmation that this is the way you do your best work and grow sustainably.

What Women Say About My Programs

Rachel Germann round.png
Working with Nona felt like a safe coming home.

Session by session and tear by tear my nervous system started to relax and I learned how to be on my own side in a new way. Through Nona’s sage guidance and the tools she provided, I started to unravel from the stories of not being good enough, or ready enough, or creative enough to claiming what my heart really wants in my business. I learned how many of the ways I showed up in my business that I had judged myself for were actually wise ways that my body was keeping me safe. Going forward, I know that I because of my experiences I need to tend to myself in unique ways but that when I do this the world is my oyster.

In your time with Nona you will be deeply seen and held so that you can start to see yourself and hold yourself in new ways. There is a way of doing business that also honors your body and your nervous system and in this program you’ll learn how. I am big yes to any of Nona’s work as I just can’t get enough wisdom from her!
— -Rachel Germann, women's healer and guide

The most important thing I learned about myself in Trauma Sensitive Business (TSB) is that I was waiting for perfect healing before taking my business to the next level. Perfect healing for me meant that I would no longer have any fears around putting my work out into the world and would be fully confident in doing so. I know—you’re allowed to laugh because I’m laughing at myself a lot these days! Oh, the illusions we get caught up in as trauma survivors.

The second most important thing that I learned from TSB is how to find the courage to be me. By embracing all the fears and honoring ALL of my life experiences (good and bad), I’ve found bold, raw courage to be me. Nona taught me this! The last individual coaching session we had was around integrity and speaking my truth. I wish I had written down what Nona said so that I tell you now. It was something like, “Angela, you’re a mature woman…people have denied the reality of your experiences all your life… trust what is real to you…” I no longer deny the reality of what is within me and I trust my reality—probably for the first time in my life.

This year has many milestones for me. It was 30 years ago that I woke up one morning and started to remember my childhood (I had been completely amnesic to my life before age 14). It has also been 30 years of studying and researching everything and anything about trauma and healing. And 28 years since I reconnected with my soul and Spirit. My last therapy session was the day after Labor Day. Yahoo! I’m finally free after 26 years! Finally, I took your TSB program that has helped me heal more and given me courage to move my business forward. There has been so much to celebrate. But wait! There are more milestones coming and more celebrations.

I’m launching my first and second workshops tomorrow. Healing in Sacred Connection—Trauma Informed Coaching is the first and Healing in Sacred Connection—Deepening Your Relationship with Spirit is the second. I’m excited, yet scared to death. But I am stepping out in my courage and integrity, and I’m doing it—thanks to you and TSB.

When Nona Jordan first told me about The Trauma-Sensitive Business  I was immediately drawn to it!

However, my brain had other ideas.  As I’m sure is common, it started the refrain that any trauma I may have had in my life paled in comparison to others’ trauma.  Mine was no big deal and I had no business wanting to take something that would help me run my business more effectively and passionately, especially if I was going to take a spot someone else more ‘trauma-worthy’ needed.

Oh my, was I wrong.  After checking it out by doing it one-on-one with Nona for the first couple of modules, I joined fully on board when she opened it to her first group.

It’s a phenomenal program.

So much fear and energy around self-defeating beliefs and actions that were based on old trauma have been released.  Now, I have an understanding of my triggers and compassionate ways to navigate them and to ‘be on my own side’ fully while running the business that I love, and living a life which is more joyful, fulfilling, and rewarding.

Nona holds impeccably safe space while helping you emerge from past or current trauma with a new understanding of release, healing, and ‘being on your own side.’  It was one of the safest online groups I’ve ever been a part of due to the respect and love of her leadership.

If you are holding yourself back in business but don’t quite get what’s causing that, definitely contact Nona and talk to her to find out if this program is for you.  You won’t regret it at all as you move forward with new tools, self-compassion, and stronger boundaries going forward.

I can’t remember when I’ve felt as heard or seen as I did during Nona’s Trauma Sensitive Business program. Not only did her beautiful, clear, clean energy hold a safe space for my experiences, it attracted the most amazing group of women to aid in the support!

Before TSB, I don’t know that I would have called anything I’d experienced “trauma.” I discounted the tough stuff as life’s normal ups and downs, arguing that others certainly had it much worse... But trauma is anything that happens too fast, too soon, too suddenly (or is too little for too long) to process. Who hasn’t been through some of that?

Unprocessed trauma gets stuck, creating unconscious behaviors and defenses that no longer serve us. I’d often wondered why my responses (and my resistance!) sometimes seemed so oversized and out of my control, especially when I was trying to get my work in the world done. Learning about trauma profiles, attachment theory, how the nervous system works, etc, was such a relief. It helped me understand and be aware of what was happening. And all the wonderful micro-practices Nona taught provided real-time, practical steps I could take when triggered.

Obviously Nona has done extensive research on the subject of trauma and business, but she doesn’t just know her stuff, she’s lived it. That combination of knowledge and personal insight is invaluable. Maybe for the first time, I can access the mythical-unicorn feeling called “self-compassion.” And I have the tools to support myself as I take steps forward to expand my business - and my life! I would wholeheartedly recommend any of Nona’s transformative programs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this program for me if I’m dealing with acute, current trauma?

This course will not be a good fit for you if you are in the acute phases of PTSD or any kind of current, personal trauma. I am not a therapist or a psychologist and though I have a lot of tools in my toolbox to support bodies that are on high-alert, you need to seek professional help if you are experiencing active symptoms of trauma or PTSD.

I’m not sure what I experienced really counts as trauma. Do I fit here?

As I’ve studied trauma over the years, both my own and others, I know trauma to be a natural response to an overwhelming experience. Trauma is almost universal in that it’s severe stress that our bodies and minds have difficulty processing. There are as many ways to experience trauma as there are people — trauma can be systemic and happen over a period of time; for instance, as a child growing up with mentally ill or alcoholic parents or abusive parents. It can be a singular experience such as a death or a really big life change or a car accident or illness. There is also the very real trauma that we can experience vicariously through our work as healers, coaches and therapists. And, let’s not forget the fundamental trauma of being a woman in our culture because that is, in fact, a form of trauma.

So, I would say that if this program calls to you, that you will belong here.

If trauma is so common, why call it out? Is everyone dealing with it?

Every person, every body, responds to trauma differently and not everyone who is building a business feels the edge of trauma come up. However, for the women that identify themselves as struggling to build a foundation of wellness, or who find their business systems are disorganized and chaotic or for women who struggle to share their voice or invite people into their work, trauma can definitely be a factor. There is often a shame or a frustration — why is this still an issue? Why am I still dealing with this? Why can’t I figure this out??

Many of the issues women face in business are unconscious recreations of traumatic patterns that are asking to be healed and integrated on a deeper level. Often, the response women have to their struggles adds violence (more trauma) to an already tender situation. I don’t see the work we do here as necessarily “getting over” trauma. Maybe you will, maybe you won’t. My deep belief is that you, and I, are better when we create strong foundations for ourselves and our work. That we can be sensitive to our traumatic past in how we live our lives and build our business and in doing so, we restore our innate capacity to handle challenges with grace (you know, like growing a business of meaning).

We can be trauma-sensitive in how we approach ourselves and in doing so, we can move beyond letting trauma derail our desires.

Do you offer refunds?

When you choose The Trauma Sensitive Business Program you are saying yes to a life-changing journey and I am with you every step of the way. I hold my investment in you and the group of women who will gather with you for every course, sacred. There are no refunds and the investment is non-transferrable. Let me tell you more about this policy.

The nature of an investment is to create abundance - to plant seeds, trusting that the seed will germinate, sprout, grow and blossom - and spread the bounty farther than you can possibly imagine. I fully expect that will be the case for you. I want as many women as possible to move beyond trauma and to share their gifts with the world confidently. That is the nature of investing our energy - and the money you invest helps you put your resources of time and energy into being present for the work. As such, when you choose to invest in yourself, make sure you are all in.

I would love to walk with you every step of the way.
